Blue Hills Sporting Shooters Club

Our branch welcomes all shooters and archers, beginner or experienced. You may shoot with us on any range day (please see our shoot calendar) if you are a current SSAA member and have an appropriate category Australian firearms licence.

We can also help non-licensed visitors to apply for an exemption so that you will be able to shoot while applying for your firearms licence.

Blue Hills cater for everything from small bore (.22) rifle and pistol, Centrefire pistol and rifle, and several shotgun events.  Blue Hills maintains 4 separate ranges from 25m up to 500m. Download our range roster for details (button to the right).

We also now run Field and Target archery events.

The Blue Hills range has excellent modern facilities with a large, comfortable clubhouse complete with disabled access to the entire range.

For beginners we will help coach you in firearm safe handling practice and informal technique coaching.

Come and see us at our Copping Range on Blue Hills Road, on the right 19km east of the Sorell traffic lights, about 4km along the gravel road.

Also feel free to sign up to our mailing list here
